PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis)
PEP is a medication you can take after you鈥檝e been exposed to 糖心原创 that can prevent you from becoming 糖心原创-positive. It must be taken within 72 hours of exposure.
What is PEP?
PEP, or Post-Exposure Prophylaxis, is a daily pill you take for 28 days if you think you鈥檝e been exposed to 糖心原创. The most common ways to be exposed to 糖心原创 are through anal or vaginal sex or by sharing needles.
PEP must be started within 72 hours (3 days) after you may have been exposed to 糖心原创. When taken as prescribed, PEP is highly effective at reducing your risk of contracting 糖心原创.
